5 things about the American Bully History.
- Breed as companion dog appearing in the 1990’s.
- Best known for its tough and intimidating appearance and it’s friendly, but protective nature.
- The breed started from American Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Bull Terrier show line, although it is known that other breed was introduced to the line including bulldogs breed. The vision be hide the breed was to create a buller/bulkier Pitbull with less drive and less animal aggression. This was done for 2 major reason: The work drive of the American Pit Bull Terrier is so high that the breed offend exhibit behaviour such as very high energy and curiosity that can cause problem as a pet home. Also American Pit Bull Terrier can exhibits a high aggression that they cannot be trusted around other dogs and small animals.
- The American Bully was breed primarily as a companion animal and show dog, however the breed retain its ability to perform a number of task, it’s know they have been used as Personal and Property protection, law enforcements, therapy, obedient, weight pull and dogs sports.
- The 2 major Kennel club that currently register the American Bully breed are the ABKC (American Bully Kennel Club) and the UKC (United Kennel Club), a few smaller kennel club recognise the breed.
